On April 29, 2025, the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) is organizing the second session in its training series dedicated to the fight against male cancer. This new session will address the crucial topic of "Ethics and Media Coverage" of this public health issue.


Session 2: Ethics and Media Coverage of Male Cancer: April 29, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. GMT – Duration: 120 minutes


The objective of this initiative is to provide media professionals with the essential tools and best practices to effectively inform and raise public awareness about male cancer.


The session will be moderated by Awatef Dali, a senior journalist and former CEO of Tunisian Television. With recognized expertise in political and crisis communication, as well as in television production, Awatef Dali has also presented programs on health policies on the Tunisian national channel and has extensive experience in major reporting (notably on refugees during the Libyan revolution and the health of prisoners in Tunisia).


This training program is an initiative of the AUB Foundation Against Cancer (AFAC) and is specifically aimed at editors-in-chief, reporters, journalists, and focal points of the AUB content exchange platform (AUBVISION), accessible via 


The first session, held on April 15, 2025, was led by Dr. Berrhouma Sami, Head of the Urology Department at Habib Thameur Public Hospital and President of the Tunisian Society of Urology.

This second session aims to strengthen participants' storytelling and information processing skills, enabling them to communicate accurately, responsibly, and ethically about male cancer issues in their media productions.
