AUB President, Mr. Jean-Martial Adou Visits Headquarters in Dakar, Inspects Progress of Training Centre in Diamniadio

The President of the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB), Mr. Jean-Martial Adou, has paid a working visit to the Headquarters of the Union in Dakar, Senegal, as part of efforts to strengthen engagement with the institution and assess ongoing strategic projects of the organization.

During the visit, the AUB President inspected the progress of work at the AUB Training Centre in Diamniadio, Senegal, which also serves as the permanent site of the Union and includes a hotel facility designed to support training and accommodation activities for media professionals across Africa.

Mr. Jean-Martial Adou was conducted around the Training Centre and the AUB Headquarters by the Director General of the AUB, Mr. Grégoire Ndjaka, who briefed him on the status of ongoing works and the operational activities of the Union.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the AUB President to meet and interact with members of staff of the Union. During the meeting, he commended the staff for their commitment and dedication to duty, encouraging them to continue working diligently towards the achievement of the AUB’s vision and objectives.

Mr. Adou reaffirmed his commitment to repositioning the African Union of Broadcasting on the path of greater relevance and excellence within the African and global media landscape. He emphasized the need for unity, professionalism, innovation, and stronger collaboration among members of the Union in order to take the organization to higher levels.

Mr. Jean-Martial Adou was elected President of the African Union of Broadcasting and Chairman of the AUB Executive Council during the 17th General Assembly of the Union held in Banjul, The Gambia. He is currently the Director General of Radiodiffusion Télévision Ivoirienne (RTI), Côte d’Ivoire.
