AUB's 10th Anniversary

From February 20th to 25th, 2017, the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) marked a historic milestone celebrating its 10th anniversary. Held alongside the General Assembly, this landmark event convened an elite gathering of Director Generals, Government Ministers, and leaders from global broadcasting unions, alongside prominent figures from the media and sports industries.

The anniversary served as a strategic platform for the AUB to address critical challenges facing the African audiovisual landscape through high-level dialogues:

Content Forum: Exploring strategies to champion authentic African narratives within regional media.

Symposium on Sports Governance: Examining government commitment to the management and sustainable funding of sports across the continent.

Symposium on the Digital Future: Debating the evolution and sustainability of public service media in the digital age.
